I assume so. But, since it doesn't use the same circuit as the DC-2, the adjustable parameters probably act different than they might if they were actually part of the analog circuit.

Can I just get a Boss SL-500? :snax: Although everyone know the RV-500 is coming sooner than later.

You need the speed, depth and effect controls. Not only does just setting dials to random shit sound great, you can actually GET WHAT YOU WANT.
Which is kind of my point here.
If you think Boss are gonn reissue the same pedal, you should know better by now.
Let's say they did do the DC2. They'd give you one or two "classic modes" that they came up with based on a "user poll" of the one dude at the office who actually owned one in the 80s, then they'd fill the other slots up with unlistenable garbage.
Stick with parameter control, you'll always get to where you need to be.

Although, all of this is moot, as they're probably able to give you your DC2 switch settings on a rotary selector as modes in addition to a DC3 mode. Which is why I was saying you could just reissue both in the same box. We can both win here.

On the new chorus idea, I think a DC5 is fucking in order. Imagine what they could do with the idea now that digital modelling has improved so much.
You wanna sound like two sea sick guitars, summoning Satan between battling for frequency primacy? Boring.
Try 5 guitars, all of which you bring within cents of each other, creating disgusting amounts of vomit inducing modulation, all supervised by Cthulhu.
And fuck yes it had better be pink.
well the thing is i've compared the DC-2 to their newer digital models and really wasn't impressed, like the GT series stuff is cool and does most if not all the same sounds as their newer digital pedals but it doesn't cop the 'analog' dimensional chorus thing - if they wanna name drop the DC-2 sound they would have to do a DC-2w and considering the positive response towards the DM-2w for example they would probably be able to pull it off. i'm actually kind of surprised they did the VB-2w first because the DC-2 is pretty popular among TGP dudes and studio nerds, maybe it's just taking the scarcity into account.
i haven't played a DC-3 but producing that effect with digital vs. BBD's will account for a lot of minor tonal differences that you can't totally even out just by having knobs - e.g. the DC-2 has very low headroom, you can't hit it with hot signals so you have to put a lower output buffered unit before it to get the best results and this affects how you end up using it quite a bit- maybe a waza craft version would add a headroom switch mode or something, yknow.
anyway i think we're on the same page, they should make a badass new dimensional chorus pedal, but if they expanded on the idea it wouldn't sound like a DC-2 at all so it'd be better to leave that separate. and fuck yes, pink. i love the purple on the DC-2 but it's not a flanger, so :?:

Yeah they have so much good pitch modulation. I thought the MO-2 seems cool.

Current COSM stuff could do DC-2 easily.

The GT-100/001 does the basic modes just fine.

Not sure they're really looking to fill that void, funny as it sounds. It's already flooded.

Well, that's good to know and solves our dilemma.

True. Was the CE-20 a COSM pedal? If they did a Waza thing for it though, it would probably be an important selling point to keep it analog. For the tone fairies, you see.

would def plow a new pink dimension

Not labelled as such but digital.

Guessing they could do an updated version that would smooth out quite a bit if they so desired.

I didn't think so but I didn't buy one either (didn't need what it offered).

I'm happy with the Dimension fakery or JC fakery in my GT-001.

My POD has a DC-2 emulation, but to be honest the stereo image and LFO rate don't sound the same to me as stereo recordings I've heard of the DC-2. Stands to reason that Boss's desktop amp/effect unit does a better job though.
