Re: The Digital Pedal Revolution...for me
I once sold all my pedals to buy a Line 6 M13(when it was just released).
I also sold all my digital pedals and bought a RE-201, real spring reverb, used amp trem cause I wanted a "all analog" setup.
Regret both decisions. But it was fun having a space echo, even though I spent most of the time mentaining it.

It would only be able to do a fraction of its ITB capabilities and require at least twice the hassle of setup and use. There's a ton of highly adaptable controllers out these days which let you to operate your setup without looking at the screen.resincum wrote:ableton should quit dicking around and just make a stompbox alreadyspacelordmother wrote:I do this all day long with Ableton and MAX.resincum wrote:digital is the truth, bruh. until the E.M.P.s hit then they're TOAST!!!!!!~~~ someone needs to drop a fucking quantum processor in one of these boxes and give us ULTIMATE CONTROL like a dd-500 on acid. draw your own waveform, choose as many lfos as you want, as slow or fast as you'd like, split the signal into 2 or 10 and assign different eq/filters to certain sections, spectrograph editor (you have to menu dive DEEP for this) so we can draw faces in our delay patterns aphex twin style, built in skype etc. the future will be tight

Re: The Digital Pedal Revolution...for me
i mean if you were only using it for adding a live processing scene into your signal chain you could get one of those tiny SSD laptops and a usb sound card for I/O and it'd run fine and cost less than an eventide pedal or whatever.
the chance of ableton going into stompbox land is near zero IMO. i'd definitely expect some more streamlined controller units tailored for live signal processing in the near future though, considering how common ipad integration is and how small PCs can get now. maybe like a stereo interfacing box with a bunch of knobs/buttons that does midi over bluetooth or something so you can set up a session with your computer out of the way and and set which parameters to control.
the future is awesome.

What kind of sheepdogs? Loads of different breeds. Are we looking at herding breeds or livestock guardians? I prefer a good germanium shepherd, they're warmer and less agressive than your silicon sheepdog.vidret wrote:does electricity dream of sheepdogs?

Germanium shepherd seems to be what the traditional electricity would think of.
