OK well I traded the delay for an octave pedal and a fuzz.
I'm weak.
But I can think of like 6 parts that could use suboctave. And like 100 that could use more fuzz.

Not that this reflects well on my shipping habits particularly but it spent more time at my apt. waiting to be sent after he paid for it than it did at the neonblack abode, apparently.

Pretty much all modulation and "weirder" effects I buy no matter how hard I try to use them. They make it into drones and stuff like that but never onto my main board. Even my RM-1n is hard to use in a more conventional sense. 99% of the time I have on either a low gain over drive+delay+modulated verb+amp dirt or heavy distortion/fuzz+modulated verb+amp dirt. I do want to start using pitch shifters and stuff like that more effectively though because they can fill out tons of space.

Yeah...
Honestly my mental state has a lot to do with my flipping habits. When I'm manic i want to buy everything, when I'm depressed I want to sell everything.
Sometimes both at once.

I tend to cycle my delays on my board to ad nauseam, but my board for bass always look something like: RM-1N -> Fox Calculator -> Spectre -> Echo Degrader OR ED-2 -> TAFM. The only thing I'd like to add here is a RV-3 or RRR for cleaner reverb sounds.
I love my Revolver and Judder for electornica stuff, but can never seem to work it in in a band setting.

So many great ideas and perspectives in this thread.
Another thing I've been thinking about (apart from OAM's advice which was super solid) is keeping to one effect outside of my usual palette per song. Take the kitchen sink approach to my use of effects taken on the whole, but keep it simpler per song.
But you know, more is more so

OMG we are the same. I flip the same way. I'm not joking. I'm bipolar...yea, yea. Whatever!!! So I have highs and lows and they seriously dictate my spending habits and when I sell shit. I hate it!
