Fernandes are the company that do the infinite sustain in a guitar thing, right? You could approximate it with that (although I've never heard one without distortion so that might tweak things out).

Yeah they have that sustainer pickup. You're right though I'm not sure how good they sound without dirt.
I loved the Fernandes Vertigo when I was in high school.
