I'm a big fan of the Mini, OCD, and DOD 250 on bass. Occasionally a Rat depending on the rig.

I love Fucks, but not much on bass. Definitely not much compared to the Mini. Love the Mini on bass.

Yeah I've read the Mini is a bit better for bass, but I don't think I'm gonna get lucky enough to have someone else offer to lend me their Mini. PeteBee lent me his Fuck today, so far I fucking love it.

I Ric-o-Sound'ed my 5-string J and I highly recommend trying it out, especially if your bass has two buckers. Really versatile now that I can get the crushing lows from the neck going through one amp but I can just treat the bridge pickup like a guitar.

I've been doing it like that for years! I have my bridge pickup dirty almost all of the time now, took some of the lows out of it so that I can use it mostly for clarity and keep my neck pickup for power.

I know! Just thinking about it, I can send one pickup to my Mother's normal channel and one pickup to the OD channel. Hmm...

Would love to hear your opinion of Fuck on Bass, esp. in doom/metal/heavy contexts. Friend finally got a 12 string, and I think we are gonna do some weird heavy/folksy.

Fuck has a great "baked in" tone for bass, I was playing some Sleep riffs on my buddy's Ric through my Mother with the Fuck in between, perfect dying amp, sludgy, fuzzy overdrive. However the crackle is almost non existent due to the extra low end coming through/at high gain settings.

Hmm, do you think the envelope sensitivity/crackle would just be extraneous on bass/the mini would accomplish all the best parts?
