I took the suggestion of turning the electrolytic caps all the same way. this is the output from gerbv after some tweaking in a lot of areas. this PCB is ready to be ordered. I will wait a few days to see if there are any more requests for changes.

ya looks good man!

not saying it needs it but if you want for future designs to have the fonts of all the parts on the pcb be the same size/thickness you can use this script. im sure many similar scripts exists though, as it is a common thing to want

Code: Select all

group all;
smash (> 0 0);
display none tnames bnames tvalue bvalue;
group all;
change size .032 (> 0 0);
change ratio 12 (> 0 0);
display last;

You can change .032 to whatever size you want and 12 to whatever ratio you want. Also if you have text on layers not included on the third line, just add them to that line, or remove if you don't want certain layers modified, for example you might want to run it twice with different settings judging by your board, once for the values, and once for the names. To make the script just copy that into your text editor and save it with a .scr file extension. Not that the dicks and hearts aren't making this board look quite pro already (;

Nice job!

Playing on the 'highly modified (fuzz) face' theme I think mine will carry an image something like this on it. Any ideas for a name? Knob Face?

I don't know if I would call it a face or anything. we added 9 knobs to the original 2. its big and gnarly so just name it after anything like that. I will give it a go anyway

Knobpocalypse is inspired.

I like The Overcompensator :animal: - I'll wait and see what comes to mind when it's built.

Showed up today, I'm thinking about stuffing it full of carbon comp, though I might need to grab from my 1/8th watt stock to fit. I was just considering a certain piece of metal for the case.

(Edit: I'm a moron, 1/4 watt fit - it's the half watters that have a little trouble)

More soon, thanks again!

Tonesuc touchdown in the UK.

Resistors are in, gonna have to order a few electros cos the ones I normally use are big and have fat legs that don't fit through the holes.

The 3.3uf - what should the orientation be?

Are those two 1n4001s above the first PNP clipping diodes? If so, I'll socket them (not sure they're gonna fit in the sockets though…).

Got a HUGE old aluminium box that was once some kind of controller in a car repair shop. Artwork is drafted.

Looking forward to this ongoing mass project.
