LOL! I love you guys so much! Maybe I ought to have a custom fuzz made just for the hell of it! hahahaha!

I still love fuzz, I just haven't been feeling it lately. Such a weird emotion. I've been all about phasers and delays though. Phasers for days son! With the right OD, OMG! Fuzz with phaser is still my favorite, but I can't do it right now.

Honestly I think part of it has to do with I don't feel like I've progressed as a musician in the last year or two. I find myself noodling instead of playing. I also have found that I can't remember songs I used to know because I've spent so much time just messing with effects instead of making music. It's a weird mixture of emotions on that. Tone chasing for no reason other than to tone chase. Silly.

I wish I had a band, but I don't. That would make me so fucking happy. But since I don't, maybe I need to get a drum emulator or just go to an instructor to mix things up. That way I can feel better about where I'm at musically.

In that case, have you thought about getting a cheap acoustic bass? Get back in touch with the instrument itself and ignore technology all together for a little while. And since its summer over there you can just chill in the backyard playing and soaking in some vitamin D. Just a suggestion.

I actually just got an acoustic Taylor! Not bass, but I love it. Need to put new strings on and have it set up (have no clue how to do that on an acoustic guitar), but the tone is amazing.

Maybe that's what I need.

Just check google and YouTube. I'm sure there are plenty of guides on restringing and setting up acoustic guitars. Taylor acoustic guitars are well built and quite nice from what I've heard. Should be a breeze to setup

I run acoustic instruments through fuzz all the time.

Sounds like you just need a better sounding Fuzz. Ditch all your other Fuzzes and get a better one with less than three knobs but more than one knob. It is OK if one of the knobs does not work. Close your eyes when getting a new fuzz. Don't open them until you get home. Have someone give you ride. Pretty graphics are just like putting a chrome air-cleaner on your car. It won't make it go faster, or get better gas mileage, it just makes your motor look shiny and people with fast cars laugh at you (works the same way with fuzz). If you, at anytime, have ever bought a fuzz pedal based on how it looked, sell all your musical equipment and go to cooking school. Avoid fuzzes with extra controls or switches for things like starve. shine, shimmer, grunt, low, high, mid, contour, lo-fi, hi-fi, 2-bit, 8-bit, horse bit, etc. they are all just a different way of saying reductive sucki-ness. I will in fact be a grandpa in a couple weeks or less. So, little kiddies, that slam will not hurt my feelings. Fuzz Rools, Overdrives Drool. Also, how is it that there are so many MILFs on this sight but none of you gals ever post your pictures?

but.. it hurts my eyes, it makes it overly warm making me grumpy and lethargic making me feel less creative which makes me get depressed, also getting sunburned sucks! my whole fucking left ear has been pealing all fucking week! I want my gloom back

I love fuzz too! I have worked really, really hard to get to the fuzzes I'm at right now. That's what kills me. I've owned a TON of shit man. Just crazy amounts. Flipped like crazy and now have exactly what I was looking for. Of course I'm not happy. The chase is over with fuzz it seems. I keep trying new ones but nothing seems to measure up.

I do have some fuzzes on the way, so maybe all of this will change. I have a Silver Rose on the way, a Wata Fuzz and a few other things I can't remember. OH three Lone Wolf pedals. Still more. LOL.

I've thought about trying some vintage shit. I recently got to try a Jext Telez Dizzy Tone and couldn't believe how awesome it was. Expensive but sounded fucking brilliant. It wasn't vintage but based on a vintage pedal. Maybe I'll be come more of a cork sniffer? God I'm not sure that's possible. LOL

I don't think you are in any danger of becoming a cork sniffer. Cork sniffers have to be told which corks to sniff. You don't strike me as that sort of a person.
