IMPORTANT QUESTION

I do plan to shoot my own demos. I have a cool studio space at hand and I have a friend with a decent camera - but at least the sound should be pretty high level.
My plan is to demo basically everything I get in stock. I plan to do bass (80's MIJ P/J Ibanez), low tuned guitar (Jazzmaster with Bari strings in A/drop G) and standard tuning guitar (Fender Blacktop Jag).

My important question is... I am primarily a bassist, so I really want the bass demos to be helpful (even though they might end up just a part of the one demo video). However, I do play flats (currently still pretty fresh Fender flats) and I'm not sure if it's the best choice to demo with flats. It does have both pros and cons, obviously, the Fender flats can have a bit of grind, but obviously not as much as the rounds... and the rounds can be annoying to me, harder to play and uninspiring with their feel.

If you had to choose to hear/watch pedal demos with bass (hopefully split stereo line/mic or a mix), would you prefer flats or rounds? Should I just stick with flats if they are my thang?

I daresay the demos will turn out nicer when you get to play/do your thang.....

The Fuzzhuggers look great, so do the SS/BS pedals, I'm quite curious about the Algal Bloom V2 and the Doom Bloom.

Agreed. Flats are cool, one of my basses has them always and the other does sometimes. Plus like, for selling purposes, fuzz just sounds better with flats lol. ;)

Loving the stock!

Do you say going hot in Czech?

We say going sharp in Swedish.

Going live would be more correct English. Unless you mean that you will be raising the temperature substantially tomorrow.

I'm totally subscribing.

I cheat a bit in the native speaker front...

But sorry I misread you. I thought you meant like that it would be online tomorrow (I'm currently working with computer systems so my mind is thinking of this stuff all the time). I didn't consider that you might have meant something else. And I know how good your English skills are so I thought I'd comment.

I'm crap at epic action movie lingo so I actually don't know if you can say that. i mostly watch Arnold films and that's like way too many syllables right there. Get doooown! Do iiiiiiit! Come ooooonnnnn! That's as far as my action lingo goes.

Sorry for trashing your thread!

Aiight bae I am torn.

I hate, hate hate, hate hate hate demos that are nothing but "OH HEY DERE IMMA TELL YOU ALL ABOUT THE PEDAL RIGHT HERE SURE YOU COULD JUST READ THE FUCKING DETAILS ONLINE LIKE YOU WOULD IF YOU'RE LOOKING UP FUCKING PEDEAL DEMOS BUT ITS SO MUCH EASIER IF I SPEND 3 MINUTES TALKING ABOUT IT BEFORE I START PLAYING MY REALLY BITCHIN' SRV LICKS DO YOU LIKE MY FEDORA ITS JUST LIKE THE ONE SRV WORE WHEN I BLEW HIM IN A TRUCK STOP"

But.

The way this watches to me right now is just "these are settings that sound good". Which is fine, but I'd prefer a little more linearity in how you're twisting the knobs to show off what works/how you arrived at the settings chosen? Playing is great, sound quality is great (although we don't know what you're using on the amp side of things? Oh ok it's at the end nvm). So that's peachy. I would split the bass and guitar demos into two separate vidz, tbh -- I don't think it makes much sense to have them both in the same clip and also people are dumb they're not going to watch the whole thing and you'll get a lot more traffic (I'd wager) if you have a bass and a guitar demo ala Excane.
