Timebender GAS still hasn't faded. My pedal sale still hasn't brought in nearly enough to fund a tb

The big thing that I can't do in anything else is the Timebender's 5 second freeze plus harmonizer and expression morph.

It's why I have zero desire for a EHX Freeze, I have its giant, psychotic ugly neighbor.

But you can't play with the timebender's regular delay modes on top of something you Freeze'd, can you?

Yea, in *most* modes, holding down the left FS puts the LED to yellow/amber instead of green, and it holds whatever's in memory as a pad. It *does not* do it in reverse, that's the only one I remember as 100% not working. But it'll chirp for eternity if you so desire that way, to return it to normal operation, tap again, LED goes green, then if you want it off, hit it and LED goes off. Simpler to do than explain.

I'd like to be sure if it can replace my ehx Freeze, so I could flip it to help fund the tb...
I use the Freeze quite frequently, but maybe not enough to justify keeping it on the same board as the tb. Plus, the Freeze gets weird when it's powered of a daisy chain or even a regulmated/isolated PS. High pitch humm unless it'd powered by its own unregulated power supply it seems

I can do one, not sure there's a demo.

The stuff on it is pretty basic - most of us who have 'em and use 'em just play and don't worry about demos!

The hold on the Timebender isn't quite the same as the Freeze sound. The Timebender sounds much more like a very very short loop that repeats.

Freeze works like that as far as I know.
But it must be like a <20ms.

Yeah I could never get the timebender to do the freeze thing, always too long a loop so you can hear it start the note again. Still makes totally awesome sounds though.

Depends on how short/long you have the delay and the repeat and the mix.

It's seamless enough for what I want it for.

I probably didn't spend enough time trying to tweak it when I had it, I quite liked what I could get it to do so I lived with that. So much depth in that pedal though, it's craaazyyyyy. Wish I hadn't had to sell it for stupid money reasons.

Ouch man--I do love it though. And it made it possible for me to sell my Timeline when my own stupid money reasons loomed. Here's to continued low prices and another Time Bender for you when you're ready.

Haha I'm not that bummed really, I'm glad it stayed in the family and went to a good home and I have so many pedals anyway... One of these days I'll have enough money sitting around and buy another timebender or a timefactor or something. There's always more pedals.

I doubt I'll ever really make good use of all of the timebenders' countless neat tricks. It's probably major overkill for me, but when it comes to delay and fuzz, I just like to make sure I have as much as possible at my disposal, in case I do want to get spacey/glitchy/whatevery. And there's definitely a ton of useable musical stuff inthere as well, stuff no compact digital delay out there can do.

I figured I might as well update this thing, since I just bought a timebender, and I'm sorta dissapointed...

The repeats are ridiculously quiet. In most modes they get to about half the level of the original signal, if not less. The lack of more than 4 user presets didn't even bother me that much, but it's beyonde me why digitech thought it'd be a good idea to sell a digital delay pedal that's not capable of going 1:1 with the balance of the repeats and your dry signal...

So back to square one Anyone know of something that's NOT in the Timefactor price range, NOT as huge as a delaylab, NOT as finniky and annoying to use as a VMSD, and still a step up from a DL-4 in terms of overal sound quality and reliability?

TC electronics, EHX, DD-20,...Anything else worth checking out?
