So, what do you guys think about my civil war muff based pedal called the "John Wilkes Boost"?

I mean Warp if you haven't tried the RM-1N and want to dive into the ILF flavor of the month you should totally do that because that description would basically cover it but I'd like to see a Skreddy take on it too.

Particularly if you could sell it to the P&W people. Call it the dotted eight and just have it be a clusterfuck of madness instead.

Important people are things that we should save up bitching for? Weird.

I would call you a grammar nazi but I don't want to hurt any feelings here!

Yup. Plus Into The Groove is a great dude and an ILFer so you're "buying local."

I object to you co-opting this terminology. You're doing a disservice to people who actually are buyin' local. :snax:

I obviously overreacted last night, working late does bad things to my temper. I still find the name a bad taste but I should've just kept it to myself.

However nothing will change my opinion that building yet another muff clone in 2015 is outrageous! ;)

A rose by any other name... :idk:
So wait...is the outrage because pedals with Cyrillic text labeling are played tf out...Chernobyl is actually in Ukraine ...or the incident is one of the more horrific manmade disasters in history and eastern bloc ILFbros feel slighted by its use as a design/marketing aesthetic?

Anything else...IDGI...I must be getting dense :idk:

This is a thread I'd expect to see (more) on TGP or that dreaded site where fun and/or funny goes to die:

This seems silly to me.

Nobody is mad at WMD for their name, or the Geiger Counter's implications of nuclear fallout.

I'm vegan but I'm not mad at the meat box.

I know a guy in a P&W band that uses a fuck overdrive.

It's so hip to be offended these days.

What is bad about William Matthewson Devices? It is so long and syllably that it kind of needs an abbreviation.

okay sure it shares the same abbreviation a Other WMDs

Wendy Michelle Davidson
Weekly Meat Division
Wednesday Must Die (formerly Odin Must Die, a Ragnarok'n'Roll band that received backlash)
Weather and Meteorology Department
Wilson Maynard Dodd

and more that I won't list.

But still. Why can't Those be brought up in the WMD naming discussion?

idk, looks to me like the thread turned to pretty solid outrage over outrage back on page 2....
