Any drummer that's housebroken isn't worth letting on stage.

Yeah that's a good one, and true...

I got an IRig Pro to use with my phone and found that Tone Stack and Amplitube actually have some real useable effects... It's kinda that "what would a Ring Mod into a Whammy sound like" without having to get either thing... The Dirt and Amps on Tone Stack are pretty good and I can chain a Green Muff into a Fuzz Face into a Rat into a Blender into a Blue Box and play them through a practice amp if I want to see what works... It's prolly not going to end up on anyone's pedlol board but it's cool to have access to all the sounds and still be able to check ILF and send dickxxx pixxx when I want...

Bumping to ask about the Zoom MS-100BT. I've read with the similar MS-70CDR that not all combinations work due to it overloading the pedal's capacity to do stuff. Does anyone know if this has the same issues? I would think it does, but it just makes so much more sense ultimately than the G5.

MS-100BT can and indeed does run out or processing power, especially for the more demanding algorithms from the stompshare store. I never seem to push into its effects chaining capability, but I've read enough elsewhere to know you can't expect the whole world at once. People into pushing these to the limits seem to try to take advantage of algorithms that work fine in a complex patch but that may not impress individually.

Yes, it has limitations, like the other Zoom devices but that must be true of all digital multi-effects units. Even if you are using the more demanding algorithms you should always be able to use at least two effects concurrently, I think. They're affordable pedals so it can be viable to buy more than one.

The Zoom hearken back to an era where some of the units had much more limited processor power - they let you have flexibility but it does have its limits.

The modern stuff I'm using lets you have a lot more (and a couple "pick one of the insane following filler blocks) but it's not as cheap.

I prefer units with discrete modes if processor power is an issue (ie one of each of the following, plus an extra delay in mode 1, or better verb with stripped down other effects in mode 2) but it usually isn't on most manufacturer's stuff.

The amount of stupid I can have on at once in the current Boss stuff is obscene.
