It's pretty solid? MXR looking box, screened on graphics, the jacks feel solid plugging the cable in and out, and the knob travels well. I don't really build or mod anything and I haven't opened it up so i can't say on the guts but I'd trust it on my board and I'm not very careful with my gear

Sounds better through tube amps, though.

I just got a Black Forest clone in from Turnip Farm. He built it as a trade for my Muff. It sounds pretty rad:

My current chain is Fuzzalo into boost into BF. For basic tone Black Forest or boosted Black Forest sound pretty great, but sometimes insufficiently fuzzy. The Fuzzolo works better at the beginning of the chain than the end. It sounds good feeding a another fuzz, but not necessarily an overdrive. I love the sound of gated fuzz into another fuzz. After trying the Fuzzolo at the end of the chain, I'm also thinking that I need a more turn-downable fuzz at the end of the chain if I don't want uncontrollable feedback.
Considering a two-knob cheapy (FF, Bender, etc) to add some kind to add some scuzz for special occasions, as well as some of that kind of glassy crashification that happens when you fuzz out an already very distorted signal. First, I'm gonna see if my Bit works, but I don't expect it to.

The Bit wasn't perfect for the application, but it was ok. The whole system was picking up conjunto accordion radio like crazy. I'd forgotten about that issue since my muff had a gate. Blew my fuzz money on an NS-2.

Got that Abominable Electronics - Throne Torcher earlier last week pre-food poisoning.
Crank up your amp and let it roar.
Great HM2 clone.
