When I ran mine off the cailene pedal power supply it had issues in the digital delay mode, running it on the provided power supply made said issues stop.

For $55-65, it's really too good not to have. Especially if Akai doesn't replace it since everybody seems to be starting to list it as a closeout. They've not set the world on fire as a guitar effects company and might decide to just get back to their core competencies. The Headrush has had what, almost two decades including the E1? That's an enormous product life for a digital pedal by most standards. Given what has come since, an update would probably have to be amazing and not just very good to make a splash. They're probably gonna spend all tha saved time and effort on horrible sounding analog synths and drum machines,

The "Tape Echo" mode alone is well worth the price.
I like it more than the Belle Epoch.

Yea dude. For the money, I'd say this pedal is a fucking bargain. I would have paid 200 for this shit. I think it's that good. It's a bit harder to get to oscillate than other delays, but it will do it. And it has stupid long delay times. I could easily see this pulling something off my board and making it's own spot. It's that good.

Mine comes in today, as soon as fedex gets to work.
Then It will sit on my desk for hours till I can take it home and play it tonight
It's flipping torture.
Is their a delay/looper that keeps the delay on when in looper mode?
I know my time bender does not
The Zoom I just got lets you loop all the effects tho which is pretty crazy

The SMM w/Hazarai lets you loop in any delay mode except one, so, that one sort of. The Flashback X4 I think lets you have delay on when looping.
I feel like some of the more advanced delay units (Timeline, Timefactor, Echolution 2) might have that feature but I'm not sure.

wow, had no idea,
I have spent most of the past several years thinking the timebender is the pinnacle of delay pedals
It probably still is

The timebender doesn't have delay while looping. It does have pitch shifting and modulation while looping though

To "loop" in delay/tape mode you just press the tap switch and at the same time start playing your shit, then press the tap switch again and play the same shit again, adjust the Head Gap knob to taste to start the glitching stuff.
Not as accurate as the looper mode, but usable (and way cooler) for improvising or for ambientz stuff.
