They're both definitely fuzzy. I just found the fuck to be a little smoother overall. The mini can be pretty smooth/transparent, but it definitely gets gnarlier.

Especially when you stacked two of them and max one out! OMG it's get weird fuzzy, like insane gated, distortions, fuzz craziness.

There HAS to be some type of fuzz properties in the sucker. It's really good.

They're JFET distortions that get fuzzy when you voltage starve them (bias/threshold control). Not fuzzfaces or anything BJT related.

It could be a clean boost with the crackle maybe? So it wouldn't color the tone besides the crackle?

The crackle comes from dynamically adjusting the bias. You can get crackle only just by setting the fuck clean and then raising the threshold of the crackle. The gain range is such that a fuck, or a mini, can definitely leave your clean tone mostly in tact, so you can just get crackle.

Yeah, it is all good. I will miss that bass like hell but the Mini should help assuage the pain. Same in reverse for you.

All I could think about at practice tonight was what the Mini is going to sound like and what songs I'll be using it on. Also what it will sound like to cascade the Mini into my TAFM. Yowza.

The mini most def gets the crackle. Only advantage the fuck has is momentary crackle.
