The orpheum guitar mentioned is most often found with the Premier brand and they called it the "Bantam".
Some seen with those "Franz" pickups, some with dearmonds, and later with japanese pickups.
They can be found also labeled on occasion as "Lee Gibbs" though I've only seen a couple of those.

Thanks, Bobby, yeah, I love that Orpheum. Mine's got the "Franz" and I think they sound fantastic. The wiring and the binding on the body are in need of a some work though. Probably needs a refret too. I haven't been playing it much these days. Nice little guitars. I've never seen one with a "Lee Gibbs" label.

There was a Lee Gibbs version on ebay within the last year. Also in the last few months was a Lee Gibbs arched back acoustic that was really interesting.
Your model is one I toyed with the idea of making a version of. Guild kind of beat me to the idea with their aristocrat reissues and from what I can tell the aristocrats aren't selling like hotcakes so I may have avoided another pitfall by avoiding it.
But full sized hollow bodies...well that's another story! ;-)

Yeah, I'd imagine it's kind of a niche market for a guitar like that.

Small, sealed hollow body with a flat back and a short scale too?

Most people probably avoid instruments like that, but I eat that stuff up. :snax:
