I got the same email as everyone else. Has anyone either communicated with the seller or with Amazon to get more deets on what's what?

Got a shipping notice. But the vendor changed the product image and description. I'm gonna burn them right back.

I just received the same notice.
First they lied about not having the product and now they changed the product on us.
I am getting a little pissed off on their antics now.
I will be contacting Amazon in the immediate future.

Touche', I e-mailed the vendor (have to contact third party vendors before you can contact amazon) and go from there.

You are now connected to Anne from Amazon.com
Me:I ordered something from a seller, first they said the item was damaged and wanted me to request a cancellation. That didnt make any sense to me. So I didnt do anything. Then they shipped something but they went back and changed the item page description but left the old photos. It appears they are trying to pull some kind of scam as they still have the item I originally purchased but now have a higher price.
Anne:Hello Kevin, my name is Anne.
I am sorry you are having a problem with the item you purchased to a seller. I'll be glad to help you.
Are you referring to the mini Portable?
Me:ORDER #
XXX-XXXXXXX-XXXXXXX
yes i purchased 2 MM-04 delay pedals
Anne:Thank you.
Me:they emailed a couple days later and said it was damaged and for me to cancel my order
that seemed really strange
Anne:The item's current price through Docooler is $12.42 + $0.99 shipping.
Me:now when you go to the product page it has pictures of the delay pedals I ordered but it says its for docooler Homeland Pickup Pick-up System 3 Transducers 6.35mm Jack for Guitar Mandolin Ukulele
they changed the item description
to something else
Anne:Oh yes, picture is for a mini portable but the description is different.
Me:I think they are trying to pull some kind of scam as I know multiple people ordered the pedals on a forum because of the low price
they also have the pedal relisted under a higher price now
so they never lost or damaged them, they just had a price mistake they did not want to honor
why did they not just cancel the order instead of shipping a different item?
why would they ask me to cancel the order myself?
everything just seems fishy
Anne:I'm not quite sure about that however, here's what I can do to help.
I'll be submitting a seller report on this matter for investigation.
Me:here is the item I ordered
http://www.amazon.com/docooler-Centiped...(See full link)
sold by the same seller
Anne:In this case, I suggest cancelling the order for a full refund.
Me:how do I do that with a seller who is dishonest?
can you process that?
Anne:I can send the cancellation request now and the seller will respond to you within 1-2 business days, You can also submit a seller report on your end if you want.
Me:ok
Anne:Each report they receive is investigated and the appropriate action is taken. However, we won't be able to release the outcome of the investigation. Please go to the link below and select "Report a violation of our rules" as the subject line:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/reports
Please be sure to include the order ID if available.
I already sent the cancellation request to the seller Kevin.
Me:what happens if they decline to cancel the order?
Anne:You can file the A-Z Guarantee claim for assistance Kevin.
Me:ok thank you
i will wait and see what they do, but I have a feeling they are going to make it a fight since they have been dishonest so far.
Anne:You're welcome. No worries, we will make sure to properly investigate this and won't allow sellers like this to sell on our website.
Is there anything else I may help you with today?
Me:no that is all thanks
Anne:It's my pleasure assisting a valued customer like you today. Thank you for contacting Amazon.com chat have a great day and goodbye.

I followed the report link from that chat and explained everything that has happened. I suggest everyone else does the same. I dont get why they didnt just cancel the orders instead of all this mess?

I'm considering waiting to receive whatever item I do get first before contacting amazon.

I contacted Amazon this morning and played hell trying to understand the gal on the other end.
The conversation ended up with her sending an email to the seller about my issues.
Next time I think I will request someone who speaks better English.

Okay, after the shipping notice and a contact to the seller that I was aware of their deceit I got a refund notice. Should I expect the banjo pickups/Ebola to still arrive?

Contacted Amazon also and received a refund notice this morning also.
This company will not get a good review from me!
