Do we think this let me achieve anything that I couldn't through a geiger counter, mobius quadrature and particle?
I'm usually turned off by signature gear, but Flaming Lips are peerless (esp. Embryonic)! I'm sorely tempted for my grab and go board, although I'm supposed to be saving

Yeah, I'm guessing if you bought $1000 worth of pedals you could probably emulate the sound of this $200 ring mod.
I don't know, maybe it's the number of orders this year? Or quarter? Last time I bought DBA it was the Echo Dream 2 and that order # was somewhere in the 800s, and that was sometime last year. So, either DBA isn't selling a lot of gear, or there's something fishy about these order numbers.
This actually sounds really usable. I had a Moog MF Ring that was cool, but only for making weird sounds at home, or with the noise rock band I used to be in. Got rid of it as soon as our bass player moved. This sounds like it can be used to much greater effect.

Ordered. This will be my first dedicated ring mod pedal. Wish it had expression control but the warp knob is nice & big so I'll try to place it on my board so I can maybe turn it with a foot.

Esp. if you play She Don't Use Jelly.
Yeah, thanks for getting THAT song stuck in my head.
You're welcome -- it's better than anything they've put out in the last 16 years.
I'm not arguing with that in any way.
I keep telling myself I have no interest in this pedal but when I see the part of the video at 2:33 where it sounds like early 90s Trent Reznor distorted screaming I'm intrigued.

I'll wait for everyone to buy this one, gripe about one or two things it's missing, and then DBA to reissue it down the line with those issues addressed and without that terrible band's name on it.
I generally love DBA stuff and the price is def close to right but this post sums up my expectations perfectly. I ordered one for univalve so I'll do the whole try before I buy on this one.
