I wish there was a way to make a wah mounted on the guitar in place of a tremolo, controlled by the bar. I'd buy that for a dollar.

I'm sure this was actually done in the 60s when on board effects were all the rage. Was it Hofner or Vox that had the "hand wah" behind the bridge?

It was vox. It can be found on their starstream models, which sonic boom was quite fond of in spacemen 3. They called it the palm wah.

Only wah left on my board now is the Wahoo. It's kicked everything off, including my Phase II. If I could, I'd have the Mold Spore sitting next to the Wahoo, but there's no room. Those are my top two.

Favorite wah I ever owned was an old Thomas Organ Crybaby. I'm not much of a wah guy, but that one sounded AMAZING

I just got the Wahoo in now and I haven't touched on the wah settings much since I'm more a lowpass filter guy but so far I must say it's quite awesome indeed.
The Xerograph Deluxe seems a bit more instantly synthy and extreme but if you tweak the Wahoo you can get there too (I guess it's a 2 pole filter).
I was getting some great electric piano type sounds (harmonics, attack) out of the Wahoo.
The user interface, even just using the pedal itself is quite good too, I thought I'd hate it but it's actually pretty great being able to store and recall presets since there's so many cool sounds you can dial in.
With the soon to be released firmware update you can even control the sensitivity of the envelope filter with the footpedal so you can for instance go from a sub to a full out setting in an instant.
good deals with: the_brow, phantasmagorovich, alexsga, DarkAxel, goroth, The Wood Wizard, Tendollarcat, vbps, monkeydancer, intothegroove, Brobee

Oh!, I've got to check that out. One think for sure, they listen to folks. I had a MIDI channel problem, and they were nice enough to write me a custom firmware workaround, while I waited for the next update to come out. Now THAT'S what I call service. :thumb:

Wilson Freaker is the only wah that's ever made me happy, and I can't see needing anything else.

vox did for sure, i would not be surprised if hofner did but i am not sure.

my pal jon of acidfuzz is an expert on the vox ' wah in guitar' circuit. he really likes it. it had a slider pot on there somehow

^ That may well be the most boner-inducing picture I've ever seen on the internet.
