I can get my hands on a drill pretty easily. Sweet. I was more worried about having to align things properly like the bridge. If it's just making some holes to screw in the pickguard and the control plate thats cool.

Anyone have any suggestions for companies that make telemaster bodies?

I kind of want a finished one but I can only find MJT and it's $375.

Search Ebay for Telemaster to find Alpine_oregon. He sells awesome bodies. My telemaster was made from one of his bodies. Warmoth also makes a Telemaster body

I've painted a motorcycle with spray paint before and it turned out pretty damn good but i'm kind of scared of doing my guitar with nitro spray cans. Need to just man up and do it. It's like $200 more to get a finished body. Hopefully will order a body this week and some nitro spray cans.

or ill wuss out and spend like almost $400 for a finished body

Also realized that I can just use the ferrule holes to line up the bridge, duh.

Your guitar looks awesome but I already have a dark stained guitar. I want a cute seafoam telemaster to hook up to a fender reverb and jangle around.

Basically about to blow my tax return on a new combo amp and a guitar body.

I'm using all the parts including pick ups from the OP.

I love the way this guitar sounds and how the neck feels. I just don't like the way it looks. I know the body will change sound, but hopefully not too much.

I would also be happy with a double bound seafoam telebody but $$$$$$$ unless I get a guitarfetish body for $60, but that's probably big downgrade from the MIM tele body.

Also I am just realizing that my guitar has a 9v battery pack for a mid boost. Gonna have to wire that shit out.

I've only sprayed a guitar with nitro one time but it sucked and took foreverrrrrrrrrrrrrrr to dry and gas out. Months. What a mistake.
But also I don't believe in, well, more like I don't care about or perceive any difference in nitro toans vs poly toans, and it doesn't feel any different from poly (that hasn't been slopped on) to me, other than it being easier to scratch up. And removing it BLOWS.
Poly or oil all day...

Poly is easy mode compared to nitro.
With nitro you have to worry more about humidity, you gotta be more strict about the respray times and the layers since each new one melts into the previous.
If you can get an even paint job with spraycans then you can spray poly, no problem. You don't have to apply it super thick to get a durable finish, either. It's also not quite as brain-meltingly toxic or flammable as nitro

Alright it's between a mighty mite seafoam telebody and a telemaster body. Or stripping my telebody and painting it.

It's probably going to be way too cold to paint for like 2 more months though.

I'll let you guys know and update with pics and stuff when I decide.

Thanks for the help.

Maybe "stealth lipsticks"? Under the pickguard? A pair of lipsticks in the middle position?

Or with one of those Ric-style pickup covers.

Lipsticks are the only low-output pickup I really like.
