the slint boxset thing was posted on the Electrical Audio forum & was said to be 'in production'. now they've pulled that photo. no clue about the release date. it seems like they want to spring it on people without much hype.

I'd love to see these guys again. Seriously some of the best shows I've ever seen. And they're hilarious when tuning between songs.
That's good to hear. Loved GYBE, but man those guys were super serious.

I was trying to explain Cibo Matto to someone who'd never heard them, and failed miserably. It was a pretty funny discussion, though...

Sounds kinda like downtempo dancehall to me.
This is my first time listening...

Cibo Matto is amazing, definitely psyched for this as well.
We have a weekly dancehall show on the local radio station and it's pretty fun but the bloody DJ is on the horn between EVERY FUCKING SONG. Some people love it but it drives me up the wall.

Don't look now, but word on the street is that there's going to be two new Beck records in 2014.

Yeah I looked into it
But one is apparently all acoustic
Which will still be good
Just doesn't get me nearly as excited

I think I heard speculation of him possibly doing a collab with Stars of the Lid based on some photo of them together. Do you know anything about that?
No idea, I honestly haven't listened to SOTL either
I do know he has been collaborating with other peeps a lot, though.
This project looks really interesting:
