This one has a cabinet simulator as well! That's easily worth the extra $30 IMO

The footswitch-controlled infinite/freeze thing in any mode seems really appealling. The Bluesky doesn't do that right?

I'm actually not as stoked on this as I thought I would have been. I'm sure there would be some really sweet stuff in there once you got to tweaking, though.

I just move the decay and/or mix knobs with my feet when I'm playing, it's just as easy and the knobs are big enough to do it, provided its placed decently on your pedalboard.

I just can't get into the Strymon stuff. There's some quality of the sounds it produces that I just can't get along with.

I do this a lot with the El Cap. It can look pretty ridiculous on stage but it works.

Magneto mode might be my favorite beyond the usual plate (normal go to for verb on the Bluesky)
Hmm, not sure if its worth the pickup. I would need to dump a bunch of gear to fit it into my scheme.
Cab sim is a kool tho.

Aussie dollar is currently at 95c so if it was 475 it should cost 501, the extra 150 is just asshole markup
What you are looking at there is basically a craigslist post from a guitar store saying they will sell you one they get at that price
The instrument market in Australia always goes up when our dollar is bad and then stays the same when the dollar is worth more.
The only reason to buy in a company like Australia with a company like Strymon is local dealers will not accept a warranty if the pedal was not bought from an Australian company and you can't just post it back to get it fixed. At least that's the way it is with EHX pedals and when I tried to get an el cap switch replaced a year or so ago.

Yeah, the dollar has actually been getting better lately.
The instrument market is ridiculous but Strymon prices here aren't normally that bad. You can get a new timeline or mobius for about $475 so I don't know where that bullshit markup comes from.
I'm guessing it's gonna be the same story as always with the BigSky though, preorder sells out instantly.... have to wait a couple of months to get one whilst people who preordered flip them on eBay for $700...

sounds awesome, but there's too much pedal. I hate menus and too many knobs. I like lots of smaller pedals

after listening to the demos on better speakers
do they sound pretty similar? like... in the same direction of sound character?
