Mobius does these things actually. You can use envelope in the quadrant mode and tune it to do chorus/flanger/pitch/tremolo effects

What effects/circuits are you tired of?
Is the correct answer the ones with copper and solder???

damn, seems to me there are all these big expansive boxes that can do it
i'd like to see it in a single pedal format tho... whatever, i'll look around

and the Soundblox seems very appealing to me! might become a purchase in the future

I'm constantly downgrading my pedal board before it was filled to the brim with some rad boutique stuff but now I have 6 cheap pedals, I'm still trying to remove more.
also as far as the "simplicity" goes, i'm all for the notion of not using guitar as a guitar but as an instrument

The Wolf Computer doesn't have an extra gain stage over the Fuzz Factory except in the deluxe version (over the fuzz face, yes, but I think FF here was Factory).
Main differences between Wolf Computer and Fuzz Factory are the controls/control ranges, transistor types, and a lot of the actual component values.
For example, Wolf Computer uses all NPN silicon transistors of type 2n3904 while Fuzz Factory uses two PNP Ge transistors with one 2n3904. The input stage is different as well, being higher gain in the Wolf Computer. Fuzz Factory also has numerous controls that are different, but Voltage/Stab are rougly equivalent (kinda...the PNP setup of the GE transistors makes all the controls kind of different).
If anyone was unsure the Silver Apple I make is an even further mutated Wolf Computer with still different controls/control ranges from either FFy or WC and other weird stuff like a momentary oscillation button that swaps out several different values/knobs simultaneously. I started out pedal building that way by building a Wolf Computer clone from the original schematic Eric gave me. Then for like a month I built a different variation of it every day until I wound up with what I thought was more optimal from a playing/flexibility/reliability perspective.

yes. the way i like to put it is that i think of the guitar as a sound source or a tone generator when i'm using effects.

I'm not necessarily tired of Big Muff, rat etc clones, because there are a bunch of good ones, but I AM tired of clones that don't add any extra fucking controls, they just apparently sound better. I'm thinking like the musket/blunderbuss and BAT stuff are muff clones I really like, but another 3 knob thing? ehhhhhh. Exception for that recent ARC one because it was just so pretty, but...

I'd say I was tired of tubescreamers but I just don't like any of those, which isn't really the same.

the first time i tried a Tube Screamer my reaction was "wow, that sounds awful." i'm sticking with that.

I was referring to it being a modded Fuzz Face, NOT FFactory. Uni said something about Fuzz Faces and then Dub quoting him, so I assumed he meant Face not Factory.

That's kinda what I figured. I thought he meant mutated Fuzz Factory. Both are probably a "sorta" answer i suppose.
I'm actually not much of a Fuzz Face fan myself, but I love the WC Fuzz Factory and other oscillating fuzzes.

Yeah, i was referring to fuzz faces. My original post in this thread was intended in that Way, that i was almost done (tired) with them and then got the last year a whole bunch of New Takes of it. I would right now call myself a fuzz Face Fan...
