still think I'm good with the fuzz stang, especially through a pharaoh or supercollider!
already sold a rad superfuzz clone I had.
just like this raunchy fuzz tone for what I hear. plus I need to keep the dirt to a minimum with how my boards are growing...
vintage boxes take up space!
but bee baa is definitely bad ass.

i'm really glad he's bringing the supercollider back. that pedal is way too good to let disappear.

For sure.
Beyond the Blunderbuss, the Supercollider is easily the best high gain muff option I've ever owned and I've owed a bunch. I'm interested to see how this new '71 compares to my original.

wow, that sounds awesome. i want. and if the 71 has a bunch more gain available than what that clip showed, as the dude said, it'll just be incredible.

Both the SC and the SC '71 sound great in the clip - I'd really dig having either one, or both - but I'm thinking the standard SC might be better on Bass. We have a new Bass player joining one of my music projects. He'll be needing some fuzz, he just doesn't know it yet
Wondering how the new Iron Pig might fare with Bass (and guitar)? Might be a good addition/contrast to the Supercollider.

The Iron Pig rules on guitar but I haven't tried it on bass too extensively. I do remember reading the original Iron Pig thread and seeing some complaints about it farting out on super low notes, couldn't handle the input if guitar was down tuned too much. It wasn't an isolated incident with the Pig, more of a universal RAT issue iirc...
The SC sounds pretty great on bass tho.

I know you guys are excited about Acid Age but keep in mind, this is the same dude that has ALWAYS
treated deadlines and projected shipping dates as an arbitrary thing.
Case in point:
I Preordered the Pale Mare on June 26.
It was projected to ship by July 26, possibly sooner ("Estimated date of shipping will be the week of
July 22nd-26th but could be a week to week and a half sooner.").
A month has gone by since then with no word at all on if or when the pedal is going to actually ship.
He's had my money for two months...no emails, no updates, no nothing.
SAME SHIT, DIFFERENT NAME.

Yeah, my Iron Pig was over a month behind projected ship date and I had to initiate contact to get an update. In the end it came and it's awesome but it'd be cool if those estimates were somewhat accurate. I expect the same with the SC '71 but we'll see...
That said, I'm conditioned to waiting ever since EGC quoted me 15-25 weeks on my guitar and I'm currently on month 10 of my wait. Shit sucks ESP when you've paid in full.

have you contacted mark at all? he's a pretty standup guy and think this isn't the only thing he does to support himself.

i don't know about that kind of stuff with acid age, i've never bought direct from him. i just know his pedals sound awesome.
shit like this is why i'm pretty sure i'd never order from EGC. even if i could afford it and wanted an aluminum guitar, i'd have to just go without. they're kind of the only game in town for what they do which is why they get away with this shit, but he seems to kind of jerk people around. i have a friend who put in an order early this year and got his guitar in 2 months. which is great for him, but i don't understand how that happens when i'm always hearing about dudes on here waiting endlessly and having such shit communication. it's kind of fucked up. does he just build the guitars that he wants to build? is there no order to his waiting list?

I'm sure he's a nice guy but I don't feel I should have to contact him. I did my part when I sent him my money.
I'm not even asking for a direct contact from him. He could very easily (no matter how busy he is) post an update on his blog.
He found the time to announce and start taking people's money for the new Supercolliders.

I'd just contact him and ask. Who knows what else he is dealing with. But I've always waited a lengthy time for the pedals from him, but always more than happy for what I receive. Nothing else just comes as close for me.
Though in my world it always takes me longer to edit something then I think too, though updates would be nice.
