I'm kind of in a musical rut right now, so collaborating with someone...anyone...would seriously help I think. Fuck me.
I was so frustrated earlier I lift my bass over my head and contemplated smashing it all Trent Reznor style on my basement floor. Then I realized what I was doing and said "I'm sorry my precious, please forgive me!"
I've felt the exact same way on bass lately. Picking up guitar has helped, but it'll never really be my main instrument.
That said, when skully and I have been jamming lately, I've been on bass and it's been really, really refreshing.

I've come to the conclusion that if I want to play in a band I need to take the bass seriously and hope that the guitarist(s) have tolerable tastes. So still not plausible. So I need to work out a set with drum machines and bass pedals.

fuck you. fuck all of you.
living all close together and shits.
we just moved all our stuff to our new spot (using a friend's garage for a hinute. she was a peach to offer it up. i HUGZ.), on my way there to setup for the first time. we haven't been able to meet up as much lately since our other spot was almost an hour and a half drive for my drummer, this one's around half hour for him, 25 minutes from me. got a show Friday and Saturday, feels GOOD to be back on a regular schedule for NOISES.
WOOOOOOO.

Neeeeext weekend is kind of rough plan wise for me. I'll create a bulk text tomorrow and we can work out a jam date!

I would like to be but you try to find a drummer who's not a talentless asshole in this city.

oof. just setup everything. it's a bit smaller space but our old spot we were a trio than just shuffled stuff when it ended up a duo. laying things out with a plan, even though there's a tad less floor space, gives us more empty room. 'S GOOD.
also, i hella missed playing. we've been getting together like once every 6 weeks. today and 2 more practices before shows this weekend.
WOOT.

i have 2 months in a band and is awesome, in the past most of the attempts to form a band only lasted some band practices (time constraints, not in the same musical context, drama), there's some drama with the current members but it is working out nicely, hopefully we will record the first ep somewhere this year, its really awesome, the only bad part we live in the dominican republic and playing more than 6-8 shows a year it's near imposible, wish we could tour or have the monies to go outside and play to another scene
