i've been thinking about it for the last 30 minutes or so and i'm kinda where y'all are talking about.....

i don't really believe that this was a misunderstanding. if he didn't listen to the audio clip i sent and referenced in the email, that's the same thing as pretending it was okay. i think he thought it was easiest to blow me off and/or offer me the 30% so he could still make some money on it and i'd go away. it WAS shitty customer service, and i'm not taking anything down that's been said or posted. i might add a box on that vidja that says something like "he contacted me after this was up for a day and it hit 500 views, said he now realized the pedal was broken and gave me a refund for the pedal. damage control? dunno." if i do get my money back.

gonna ponder for a bit more, but i'm pretty sure i'm going to respond with "this whole experience has left me with no interest in owning this pedal. if you want to refund my entire purchase price plus what i paid for shipping, i'll send it back and we can be done with each other." i don't even know about the "done with each other" part. this was never about threatening him with anything to get my way, it was after he made me feel all used and wiped on before he zipped up that i started....... things.

CassaBLANCO - in the email he sent, there was no offer of a refund. there was an offer to cover the shipping to him (how GENEROUS), but all he was putting out there was now he realizes it's not working properly, i can send it back to him to get it repaired for free. that option....... holds no interest for me.

After the shit he pulled with changing the website and the "I'll refund you 70% on a stock pedal after you've had the pedal for two minutes", if he doesn't refund you 100% (+ the return shipping to mail his pedal back) I would continue the smear campaign. I heard the audio sample you sent him before the video. Fuck this asshole.... if he treats other customers like this, he's giving all the small builders a bad name.

"this whole experience has left me no interest in owning a Luck Duck pedal. if you will issue a full refund, i'll be glad to send it back as soon as the paypal payment clears."

I agree with your course of action. Him fixing the pedal wouldn't change much. He still wronged you and that he cannot FIX.
Him offering to fix it is a step in the right direction, however he's kind of already fallen off the cliff of wrong
