In the BSY's defense it IS a bass synth. It tracks fine all over the place on my bass. And yeah not true bypass.
i asked a *guitarist* here if he had problems tracking higher notes with it. before i bought it.
and maybe mine is fucked up, but when i say "no bypass mode" i dont mean true bypass. i mean, if it's in my chain, i cant turn it off.
the blue light is always on.
glancing at the manual briefly as i did, this appears normal, as impossible as that seems in the parlance of our times.

did u get it yet?
i saw the vids last night..omfg dude..when hes doing the palm muting rapid little notes it sounds EXACTLY like a roland TB 303 to me...
I didn't get it yet, it must be pretty close though.
It seems to be pretty sick going from the vids indeed, that's why I got it, offcourse also because I love the Micro Synth, it's a great pedal just I always thought the octave down could be heavier and the octave up nastier, together with some added functionality and that seems to be exactly what the Shotgunn mods do.

I'll let you know my thoughts as soon as I got to play it.

Yeah, it was about two months or something but it's taking longer because some parts wouldn't come in, also mine is going to be the last version with the molten cat turd mod and stuff, it's also going to have an external footswitch to switch the octave down / FA mod / octave up / expression input on or off simultaneously I guess that's taking him some extra time too.

It's in this vid, basically it's a knob that makes the octave down / FA even sicker (the standard sounds are still possible):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GKKCC1Yac8gThe footswitch really is what's going to make me put it on my board or not, it makes it so much more versatile to be able to switch all that stuff in one go.
I'm hoping / thinking it can double as my octave up fuzz, sub octave fuzz, fuzz with sweep filter expression control, fuzz with fast moving filter etc etc.

My BSY bypasses fine although I did have that prob. With my first one. I was able to get mine to work by taking it apart and fiddling with it. The bypass is not a good design.

Yeah, that sucks, I remember the bass player I used to play with (good friend of mine) used an external pedal to switch it on or off.
