So an email from CME brought up another idea, Ric 330? Those have pretty thin necks, you can find used ones in your price range if you look around (CME has one for a grand).

G&L ASAT. Tele-shaped. G&Ls are built like tanks. Necks are pretty nice. Granted I've set mine up pretty nice, but I've had people play it and in the same visit offer me money for it. Even after I've spray-painted the headstock... Tributes are definitely in your price range, and you might be able to find a used American one for the right price.

There are some sweet guitars in here. I've found myself enthused with my shitty Mexi strat, I'm not a guitarist tho. I had it set up real nice and it plays amazing. Thinking about putting some nice pickups in it some day.

Also I love EBMM guitars, you should totally snipe that Lee, it seems sick as fuck.
