Hey Nick,
Do you have any opinions on how the tone is effected in these preamps by the order of the FAC, tube, and tone stack? I have been reading through different forums and some people like the FAC first, etc. Looking through schematics it looks like the or120 does tube, tone stack, volume, tube, FAC while the GRO does FAC, tube, volume, tube, tone stack. The gt100 schematic you pointed me at has tube, FAC, volume, tube, tone stack. Interesting little variations.

Resurrecting this thread.
I purchased a Matamp from the UK about 8 months ago and I really like it. It's a weird one off that had no info on it out there until I came across this
http://www.planetoftheamps.com/matamp-bass120.html . I'm 99.9% positive this is the same model as my head. In the first sentence he states that the bass eq does not work. This is the same as mine.
Now my question is is there a fix for this? It seems like he says there is in the 3rd "paragraph".
Thanks.

that page does not explain why it would not work. What do you mean by does not work? do you mean that is has no noticeable change in sound?

without a schematic reverse I wont be a huge help here. I dont know what that scheme is. I only really know the vintage GT120 scheme from Matamp.

Thanks for the response. I'm going to bring it to my tech and see what he can do.
