has anybody with DIY skills examined the circuit on the pegboard in the photo to see if it's a clue?

to the dismay of many on this forum, it is indeed a simple compressor. in fact it's a small little circuit i've been working on that will be part of another project. the idea to release the compressor on its own has a lot to do with working out the quirks of the circuit, making sure it sounds great its own, making sure it'll offer consistent results during production.
it's a fet compressor with a volume control, input pad and ratio control. the design isn't final yet, but i'm about to order some boards to work out the prototype.
you're all crazy, hope this helps dispel the shroud of mystery.
as for the other projects, you're enthusiasm makes me want to spill it all out but i just can't right now... partly to avoid disappointment, partly to enjoy seeing you squirm.

To be honest, a normalish comp was kind of what I was hoping for...
But I'm excited to see how it will be used in that other project!

I can use a small and excellent compressor on my main board. and i know that anything FC does will not suck.
also, it could be a great gateway drug to the rest of the FC lineup for the more timid.

Yes, please! I for one am really excited by a small simple compressor made by a company I respect.
