Gee I'd love to see how you're music compares. Surely such a pretentious statement means you're a god among guitar players and men. :whateva:

Go fuck yourself.

Also, unrelated, but can everyone please stop with the male pronouns when talking about me?

So you are female and you can't back your mouth. That's original.

The answer to this question is Pantera for a few reasons
1. Pantera never did a completely terrible album
2. Pantera made band drama interesting, and not lame like the Metallica really hurt my feelings dave Mustaine Crap
3. Pantera did all their murdering with one guitar player
4. Whether you love dimes tone or not it was original and he came about it in a completely different way, I for one dig the monstrous solid state tone and think their is an immediacy to it that most people should learn to appreciate- Dimes use of dual EQ's to scoop and then boost mids and some of his whammy tricks were pretty awesome

I own albums by both bands and I grew up when they were huge, and it was always pantera for me, that doesn't mean I am wearing jorts today or anything.

I do think the gender stereotype stuff in this thread is disappointing, and not sure how it always comes to that.
Sadly I had no idea some of yall was ladies and I apologize if at some time I called you bro or dude or brodude or dudebroman or anything
although gender in one way or another has no factor to me in regards to someones view of gear or bands and I think all of the earths peoples are brodudes

This still sums up kids in high school around here. I'll add Children of Bodom shirts to the mix as well. Generally speaking, they're wiener kids around here.

Literally, only pantera shirts and tattoos for me in high school with regards to those kids. Huge CFH back tattoos. Also, Vulgar Display is 20 years old.

Also, calm down everyone, jeez.

Whoa, whoa, whoa. C'mon jwar, is that really necessary?

We are all ILFers here, regardless of taste in silly metal bands and gender identity.

Y'all kiss and make up.

I always liked Phil's screaming in this song:

And weirdly enough, The Great Southern Trendkill is my favorite album by them. Metallica's aight, too. Don't particularly like either band enough to choose one over the other, though. Actually, I change my mind, I'd rather hear any Pantera song than hear Enter Sandman again.

I attribute this to the Reznor production and the fact they all hated each other by then.

You have piqued my interest, sir.

Can we just agree that both bands are pretty much irrelevant now? Both put out some classic albums in the history of metal, but it's been years since either put out anything worth listening to. Both bands are nothing nowadays.

I understand why Pantera hasn't put anything out, but I mean... that last album was a flop, wasn't it? I don't think I bothered listening to it.

But to answer the question back when I listened to them I liked kill em all through justice more than pantera but I still listen to CFH from time to time and its been a real long time since I listened to Metallica :idk:

I guess what I'm saying is Iron Maiden!!!

Excited that you mentioned this band. "The Sleeping Eye" is an incredible album.

IRON AGE.
