Most of my friends that I skated with did a lot of tricks, but I never had the coordination to do it. Plus I'm pretty tall and that didn't help much haha

Yerp! I have a hard time finding time to skate between work, school, and shittyfuck WA weather, but I love skating. Had a rare nice day last Friday, and went to my old stomping grounds. It was fuckin' hilarious. I'm so terrible now. And, now I'm the oldest guy at the skatepark (I'm 21). Makes me feel like a dick, especially since none of my friends skate any more.

Aaand since this is a shoe thread, these are what I wear:

I skate on my breaks at work lol. It's the only time I have to do it. Minilogo blank, independents, china bones, don't know what the wheels are. It's in the trunk of my car, always. I just heel flip over trash in the parking lot...it's the only flip trick I can land anymore.

Supras.

Although I've purchased many, many pairs of Nikes, I'm going to back the Supra train.

I miss my Macbeths. I haven't seen many pairs that I've liked since mine fell apart.

I have eczema really bad on my ankles. I had a pair of the Supra High tops and I couldn't wear them because they'd break my ankles out so bad. They sure were cool though

I used to skate a lot (since I was in like 5th grade), but then I kept breaking my arm over and over again, and that got in the way of bass, so I kinda stopped. The supras are a new thing, always wanted them but I only ever wore Vans. Then, decided to get a few pairs because fuck it.

found these at finish line on clearance
nobody around here buys purple shoes

last year I got hyperfuse in almost the exact same color

didn't realize how coveted these were till I had played in em for 6 months
great shoes feet hurt today though going from Max air to these was tough for an old guy

Too fancy for me.
Now I keep footwear simple.
Earth tones are preferred.
No prints.
No excessive branding.
And they've gotta be comfy.
Dont care who makes them.
But I don't buy sweatshop shoes.

naw dude it's 1989

A number, another summer, right? (get down!)

Also, I wear skate shoes pretty exclusively. Most of that comes from skating while I was younger, but you can also find some now that get a little classier for the real world.

And, actually, I'm super stoked that skate and snow companies have started making, for lack of a better word, professional looking clothes. Look like a real functioning adult on the outside, still pine for more snow and uncapped handrails on the inside. :thumb:

Height and weight are important, but pretty secondary to how big your feet are when you're just starting out.
