I feel 100% exactly the same way!
I voted high gain.. I really love high gain.

I originally voted low because I was drunk and didn't see the "all of them" option, but all is my real answer! I've got low, med and high gain pedals on my board, and I stack them for varying levels too. Love having that variety of sounds.

I'm on that fun dividing line between mid-high gain. However, because I mainly use The Elements for my dirt, I can cover the whole spectrum with the flick of a switch and the turn of a knob.

Clean, high headroom amp, one high gain pedal. I don't mess with overdrives and the only thing I stack is pancakes and dollar bills.

Definitely an "all" guy.
My dirt chain basically goes highest-to-lowest:
Super Puzzle>>Algal Bloom>>Superbolt>>FuckOD
For live stuff & rehearsal where I kinda just like to set-it-&-forget-it the Fuck is set just to the edge of breakup, and is always, always on. I love the higher gain sounds on this thing and will definitely be diving into those for recording & layering guitars.
I bought the Superbolt before finding out about the general douchiness of JHS's business practices. I considered sending it back/selling it, but it sounds really fantastic with my stuff. Perhaps someday I will replace it w a Mini or Elements. Maybe a Monarch?
The AB is set w gain around 2 o'clock & the bloom around 3.
Super Puzzle set to destroy.
All this runs into wah, delay, Organizer, modulation, more delay then into a reissue Fender reverb tank I got in the mid-90s & a Bassman Ten running loud but super clean. Really been loving this setup. Thankful to the ILF community for helping me learn about the great builders here.

with no pedals on I have a clean tone, I have a EHX Double Muff for overdrive, an IC Muff clone as a medium gain fuzz, and my Algal Bloom as a heavy fuzz. And a supersonic fuzz gun for crazy fuzz sounds.

i have absolutely no idea what i do. i just hook a shit ton of pedals together, twiddle the knobs and buttons until i like the sounds, step on them, and play. and then twiddle some more. i really should take notes.

+100000
Brutal high gain for me, but only into the cleanest, high headroom amps. I'm not a fan of amps on the verge or dirt, and then slamming it with another distortion.
My amps of choice (for guitar) are a vintage Fender Showman and Blackstar Artisan 100.
Bass is Mesa Carbine or 400+
