My favorite guitar purchase of all time was a freebie from a guy who used to work at the Hamer shop, he had built himself this truly beautiful DC-style beast.

Then he got caught cheating on his wife. He tried to make amends by cutting "I'm sorry" into the back of it with a pocketknife.

It was thrown in the river after that. He fished it out, and just gave it to me as I sat on the steps of the guitar shop waiting for it to open one afternoon.

I eventually gave it back to him. I wasn't sorry.

Some things just add character.

fantastic story. i'd love to see that guitar.

So would I, it's been a good 20 years or so since it happened, if the guitar still exists it has to look worse than the Hendrix burned strat!

I've seen a pic posted somewhere (think here?) of someone's cat shitting on one of their pedals. So... I guess that's an upside to buying new? At least I hope...

I would sell you any of my pedals I was interested in selling and poop on it myself for a slight additional fee.

Why settle for cat poop?

Only the finest human excrement will do.

hee. so, there was a snafu with a guy that bought an Faye Song off of Ken, it didn't get there when it was s'posed to or something, i guess the guy didn't have it in time for the tour he wanted it on or something. Ken agreed to a return, there was a whole public thread about it, i got at Ken about buying it since it was the last brushed aluminum enclosure one he said he thought he'd do.

but diving through that thread there was a point where the og dood said something like, "oh yeah, i'm going to send it back. after i open it up and take a giant runny shit inside it.".

i sent a message to Ken with something like, "soooooooo...... i mean... i want it..... hard..... unless it's been poo'ed in. then i will wait for another one.".

The most awesome used pedal story I have is I bought an old DOD Thrash Master (the 1st one) off Ebay about a year or so ago. Dude shipped it in a bubble mailer and it arrived 100% in tact and working

I've received a lot of pedals in bubble mailers. Surprisingly, never received a dud.

Spiders do poop.
Also they may or may not breathe through their legs or random openings in their bodies or whatever.
In conclusion, fuck spiders.
