This is a nice thread and thanks for the insights Ryan. You are right about how people should be careful in who they support. Lots of stories at TGP from pedal builders, to boutique guitar makers, to amp techs/builders.

For those who don't know, there's an ongoing Fat Sound Guitars debacle at TGP's Retailers and Builders' forum. Unfortunately for one of my friend, he is one of the guys whom Stu took money from and his order is quite an expensive amp head costing about 2.4k usd. Rubbing salt to the wound is the 5-6 months of waiting for his dream amp. I know that he worked hard for it, selling some nice stuff along the way too and I really pity him. FSG has such a great reputation within the guitar community so it really came as a shock to us the way it's turning out now. Apparently, my friend paid FSG the balance(after the initial 800+usd deposit to start the build) but Stu didn't pay the builder that final balance amount so even if his amp is already finished, the builder can't release it as he's not fully paid yet.

Thanks Edgie! Shame about the FSG debacle too, that's quite a pricey debacle! Totally sucks...

Haha yeah you knob! Get under these bleachers with me!

Blake and I are a great example of builder buddies... we share schematics, talk features, give constructive criticism, talk retailers, trade pedals... it's awesome. I bet he wears cool black t-shirts pretty frequently too.
