I'm waiting for someone to shove a Univibe into a 1590a  :thumb:

Yeah, it'd probably use SMD and skimp on what makes a univibe a univibe and not just a chorus or delay: the lamp

Gone Fission wrote:The Uni-Vibe gives me some doubts since I wonder about the circuit compromises to get that to fit. SMD? Optocoupler chips instead of a bulb setup? HO-scale bulb games like the Micro Vibe and Chicken Salad? That and if you don't have expression access for the Speed control, please put it in a good place to turn with my shoe.

Honestly, lacking for cheap clones at this point, I think I'll just figure out how to build my own and tweak it for my setup :idk:

Neovibe is apparently a great DIY build. I'm not good enough to look at modulatifiers, still doing boosts and stuff, so I can't say from experience.

Spent some time puzzling over the Neovibe to see if it would be possible to take out the odd LFO it uses (yes) and replace it with a Tap Tempo LFO like the Tap Tempo Tremolo uses (probably can do this) and reading about the theory behind the univibe to see if changing the LFO would do much, especially one with different waveforms and tap tempo (probably not.. speed and depth of the univibe are not from the LFO)

which is to say that hte LFO would be changing the 4 phasing bits, but not allowing tap tempo on the speed of the vibe effect itself, which I kind of wanted over a treadle.

Ugh that is off based.

I think the vibe sounds pretty cool but the Fuzz Face just isn't fuzzy enough for my taste. Maybe I'm just making them way too fuzzy and I think they should all be like that haha

i thought it sounded relatively mild compared to some of what ILF has introduced me to over the years.

Because it's Lovepedal and they can eat a dick.

so the fuzz face demo is out. like i said earlier, i think it sounds obnoxiously mild.
