It's worth it dude. With enough fucking around of the parameters/reverb/eq etc you can get a pretty realistic sounding kit for free

So it turns out I'm really bad at this, and you can't record more MIDI notes onto an existing track (it overwrites the whole track.. so I can't start with the bass drum and do a second pass where I play snare)

You could just add another drum track to then track snare overtop of it!

I record the kick, snare, cymbals, and toms all in one take most of the time and then go back

Yeah, it does let me quantize & drag around the notes once they're on the piano roll. Just not record more notes to it. Oh well :idk: (I'm not good enough to do it in one take yet :( )

You'll get there dude. It took me a lonnnnng time to be able to figureo out how to type drum and it still takes me a while once I've got a beat in my head. Sometimes if I've got a really complicated beat that I want to try to make, I just click it out in a piano roll and add the beats manually and drag them to where I want them to be instead of typing and then adjusting

I want to play guitar in a sort of pedal oriented silly fun noise junk group... and drums in something different... like dem metalz of the hard and heavy for fast fills and hard hits.
Also if anyone of you guys needs a drum track you can pm me. I get bored easily... :D
