Maybe when we meet up I can bring it down for you! And yeah. I wish it was black too. Just an excuse to take the body off, sand, and repaint flat back :D

In all honesty the Jag with flatwounds should easily appease what your looking for, I should be able to intonate it just fine. And if you havent played flatwounds before its an experience worth trying, then if for some reason your still dissatisifed then your gas attack can recommence and I will help you acquire what you desire. :thumb:

Just take a KLONopin and chill

Oh and I can help refinish it too, I have pro quality matte black that i use to refinish drums, plus the correct primer and everything. I can't build guitars from the ground up but i sure can mod the hell out of em.

Gurrrrrl. Now you're making me want to break down the guitar tonight and sand it down. I love natural wood more than I love black guitars for whatever reason. NATURAL JAGUAR NO SUNBURST??? FUCKING EXPLOSION

Oh I's a gonna. Just need to read up on how to properly strip paint off. Because I can see myself doing it all kinds of wrong and then fucking up the guitar haha

There's a couple different options, best bet is to take a heat gun or really hot blow dryer to the finish and use a paint scrapper to remove it once the paint starts bubbling. Then once you have most of the finish off you use sandpaper to get the parts you couldnt scrape off.

Easy enough! That sounds a lot less messy than trying to use chemicals. Gonna hijack my wife's blowdryer tonight (if she has one??) if not I'll ask my mom if she has one I can borrow. AH

Please post pics, results, and tears of frustration. It will take a bit to get used to the process but once you get in the groove it will go quicker then you expect. The first 20% will probably take the same amount of time as the last 80% if it's your first time.

Jeez man
That's gonna be awesome.
A blowdryer may work with the finish, but I dunno...I think it'd have to be REALLY hot. When I was refinishing my bass, it still took a while to get the paint well done with a heat gun on the high(1000 F) setting. Definitely safer and neater than trying chemical strippers though. You can do the rounded parts of the body with the scraper if you're careful, but the stuff around the neck pocket is pretty much all sandpaper.

Also, you should stock up on sandpaper types and get some 80-grit or something, because under the paint lies an unholy bombproof shield of sealer. Don't let it see you cry, it feeds on the souls of all who try to sand it.
Just fuck it up with super rough paper, don't be afraid to mess up the wood because it's gonna take a while to break through anyway.
I can send you a ridiculously long PM about staining the body if you want

YES PLEASE!

And I think I'm doing ebony stain now. Cause that's what the Verellen is. I'mma match. Don't want to fuck with the neck though. Gonna buy a heat gun instead of strings with this paycheck yeeeess

Sent that jawn. Sorry it's so long. The dude was asking me about the green finish but if you order similar materials the process will largely be the same.
Also be sure to look up wet-sanding techniques if you've never done it before!
