It's a delay chip pushed to edge of reality, basically. 100% next-level. It's sort of like the Clarinot's older cousin who's been places, seen things, and maybe has a lot of highly specialized military training. Nothing else even remotely like it. Especially if you have control voltage stuff in your rig...

the profits from your first 30 units should cover the main bid, depending on what you charge per unit
That's a lot of work just to break even.

Especially when it's not something that has mass appeal.
30 units could be a fair % of your total sales....ever.

Yeah, I'm thinking it might be worth 1/2 of that.
The killer is the 5% of the first year sales.

If you get it, just introduce them at $5000 a piece while notating that the price will drop to $300 after the first year.

I know the dude sounds pretty unrealistic and disconnected from how to run a business. But... It'd be awesome if you made those!

I like how he gives us the option to offer more than the asking price. $9,000 just isn't enough for a once in a lifetime opportunity that was available a year ago.

If you would make them, i would take one for 600$ if it has two CV connections. No joke, that thing is super awesome (i use the slight on my analogpatternrobots board and love it)! For my studio setup it would be the shit.

Dibs on the old one! Now I'm grown up enough to actually use it.

Having looked under the hood on these, I do not envy anyone trying to build these - at least not in that size enclosure. Those little boxes are packed. I believe there are 2 boards in these sandwiched together, and definitely a tilt switch/sensor, a bunch of touch pads and a bank of dip switches. Pretty bananas.

These were released about 5 years ago. Bigger in the synth and experimental music community than the standard guitar community. Much more studio friendly than pedalboard friendly. The Squarewave Parade was/is a one man shop out of Tennessee that released a few really, really badass devices over the course of a few years.

MoleS20r - MS-20 filter in a box with added gain stage for nice onboard overdrive / distortion.
Pollen - Crazy velcro, white-noise fuzz.
Teaspoons - A few different version of these guys as featured above.
Downgrade - Sample rate reducer based on the Bugbrand Bugcrusher design.

And a few others, all made in very limited quantities. Great, great stuff, one and all.
