I'm a pretty big Electric Wizard fan so I had to own one after hearing Dopethrone for the first time

FZ-2 rules; a decent fuzz, a good Superfuzz clone and one of the best boost I've ever used.
DM-2 is my main delay, both for bass and guitar; never found something better, neither in the DL-4 nor in the Empress.
HM-2 is a great dist, used by plenty of good hc/metal group (think Entombed, Trap Them, Black Breath, The Secret, Godflesh and Jesu on bass).
PS-2 is a great delay and a good noise machine.
PS-3 is an essential part for the sound of Isis and Liars.
TU-2 is a reliable tuner; never had a trouble with it in about 10 years.

i gots lots of Boss. On the gig board I only have a flanger - either the BF-2, BF-2B or the HF-2, and sometimes the chorus CE-2B. If I had space the HM-2 would also be on there. Got the SD-1 and Xtortion kicking around on the home board as well. I know there are better delays out there than the DD-3, but I've always wanted an MIJ, and if I didn't have an empress and a EQD Hummingbird I would pick up the Boss trem. Might pick it up anyway, you can't have too much trem in your life. Boss make some great stuff, and they make some crap.

I love my DS-1 after I replaced all the caps changed some resistors and put in a diode kill switch

My DF-2 made me quite happy when I finally powered it properly. There are better pedals, but that's a fun one I dig.

I really wish the OC-3 could have tracked the D5 I needed it to on violin. Only reason I didn't grab it.

+1 on the TR-2 tremolo its cheap and sounds well above its price point, had a DD-3 for years until i finally blew.

Got a old digital metalizer, CS-3 compression sustainer and an EH-2 enhancer which is a gorgeous sounding piece of kit

The anti boss snobbery is really odd as yes they are mass produced mostly generic sounds but you can get something usable out of them 99% of the time.

Eventually some band is going to come along and use the SL-20 to its full potential (or at least in a super awesome way). Then everyone will be like, "WOAH I NEED ONE ASAP OMG CUM EVERYWHERE DER CHOPPY TONEZ".

I want one super bad, I've just never had the scrilla.

I've been looking into these. I also want one.

Univalve, from here, has a band called Analog Pattern Robots I admire, and his use of the Slicer is pretty badass.

I love my Boss CS2 compressor so much that I bought a second one - so if I was mixing a track I could put it through in stereo
The DM2 and the DF2 make me really happy, but...
Have you ever seen the Boss Book? The guide to everything they've done... Comparing battery clips, timelines for everything they produced, a whole load of frequency response graphs... So obsessive, it gets a bit scary after a while. I was enjoying it so much though, I thought 'Jeez I'm some kind of weirdo freak...'

The Slicer is way cool, I love playing with the one built into the Roland GR-55.

The real one does more of course but it's a neat toy.

If I ever see one cheap, it's mine.
