I played a MIG 60 in store when new, but I think there was a problem. Noisy broken sounding. It's supposed to be something like a JMP master-volume model. It was the only one of the MIG's actually designed for EL-34's if that's important to you.

On the edit stuff, depending on the cab, the Bandmaster head and cab is probably fairly priced and the set I'd be most interested in. Blackface non-reverb heads will have more cachet because of the pre-CBS thing, but the Reverb models are pretty typical Fender circuits and "blackface-able" even though there wasn't a blackface version of the Reverb. No one famous ever seemed to have use the Bandmasters, which helps keep them from being ridiculously priced. However, lots of blooz dentists like to hack the Reverb models into clones of SRV's Vibroverbs, so get 'em while they're hot.

Bandmaster head sounds ok, "Evil" Twin is alright if you learn to use it (EQ is different, some of the modernish options are an acquired taste).

I love a Roland JC amp (use a JC-50 1x12 as part of my normal rig with a Hot Rod Deluxe) in conjunction with something Fenderish, even if both are 'clean' on their amp settings.

I ended up with the Fender Deville. 60Watt, 410. This thing is LOUD. I played kind of a noise show with it last night and honestly didn't have to turn it past 2

And that's why I got the 1x12, I didn't need blisteringly loud and the extra weight. ;0

I wanted the loud. For some reason I just wasn't expecting it to be so loud so quick. If I can get a practice space lined up, I'd love to someday get an extension too. Doom/noise is something that should be inescapable at a show.... And the weight isn't too horrible. I'm sure I'll be eating my words when I end up travelling with it someday though.
