What are the differences between the III and the + again?

Size, some functionality things. The amount of seperate loops you can run at once (the plus does two with the option of stacking on both has that awesome treadle wheel for loop volume. I'm 100% buying that Wholly Roller add on when it comes out, for the 3.

It has some stuff the III doesn't have, like the speed settings, the ability to use it as a delay esque effect.

Mike Nelson's products are awesome though, and that's a great price for a boomerang +.

There's a full list here. looks like it'd be well worth that money to me,

What happened to the $100 headrush? They were all that price for a minute and then all went back up.

at less than $200 i'd buy the fuck out of the Boomerang+ all day long if i had the money. it would totally replace my looping setup and give me more recording time.

the degrading loops on the el cap aren't super practical in some uses, but so so great in others!

I got turned off from the rang III because fo two reasons

1. I realized I liked more buttons and switches rather just a couple you have to assign via dial.

2. I don't like how you can't change the loop pitch/speed.

A friend can get me a new SMMH for $150 plus a little shipping... should I do?

It's a great box, loved it, would buy it again. it can deliver A LOT of unconventional tones :) the looper can do fun stuff, but it's just another feature, it's not the focus of a pedal

but hey... multi-tap is a fun thing, the reverse is the best i've tried, modulation can get FUCKING MENTAL (it actually does a rather good TZF) and it can also deliver a nice ambient reverb if you know how to set it... if you're interested, shoot me a PM after you get it

1. There's an add on thing you can buy to make everything available at all times, but the assign thing is very easy to work out. The add-on looks like it's going to end up in my rig though, be quite handy to have everything at my feet.

2. You can. There's a half-speed/octave down and a way to get double-speed/octave up.

If you don't like it, you don't, but if you don't like it for those reasons, you might, in fact, like it.

Definitely true, though I thought you could loop on the El Cap without crazy degradation (relatively clean) by turning down Age and Wow and Flutter. :idk:

I had one for a few days and returned it because it buzzed like crazy through my Vox whenever on. I miss the looping on it...it was like the Lo-fi Loop Junky but versatile.

If the Looperlative LP2 would ever actually come out I bet it would be awesome. I use the M9 now, infinitely better than the DL4 because it is functionally the same but you can use fx before the loop or loop before fx. I had the SMMH and liked it also for the ability to loop fx but was really difficult to deal with the signal balance. Most of that series of EHX stuff, despite really cool functions, just sound too shiny to me. I don't need myriad fx but reverse and one-shot are musts. My lament of the DL4/M9 is the inability to stutter/one-shot/retrigger while actually continuing the loop. I mean that hitting the play once does only that, plays once, but it would be more functional if I could retrigger that loop to stay on track with a drummer, rather than making him play to a track which I'm not into. Looperlative LP2 does ostensibly allow this, but yeah, we'll see if it ever appears.

But for straight loops, I liked the Boss RC20xl.

The vox lil looper seems cool though.
