A bit more clean head room and better note definition.
especially the early white ones. I'm also a sucker for tremolo with bass though.

MM

I'm gonna plus one that; its the same amp as the twin reverb, which i am currently rocking for bass

I've used a bassman (w/ my guitar) multiple times and I must say love that sound

But right now I'm playing through a Dr. Z Maz 18 Jr. NR and an Avatar 2x12 w/ a V30 and G12H30 is on the way..

Continuing the joke from the "Let's see your GUITAR!" thread..

One time, this thing destroyed a pair of apple iPod earbuds plugged into the 'headphone' port (read: we're-just-going-to-pump-5-watts-into-your-headphones-instead-of-into-the-speaker port). Also, it runs on a 9 volt battery or my pedal power supply. This thing is SO METAL.

This is my amp, a homebuilt (not by me) 50 watt tube head, I believe based on an old Marshall design. I got it off ebay a few years ago and paired it with an Orange 2x12 cab. It was beautiful - loud, early break up into overdrive, smooth feedback.

Sadly financial strain forced me to part with the Orange cab :( So now it is neglected, and I play through a Peavey Valveking Royal 8, which, while a good amp, isn't really sexy.

I play through a royal 8 as well. It took me three weeks or so to figure out how to get the right sound. (one week for every knob?) I like it though, makes my apartment fill up with fuzz.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking the Royal 8, it's a decent little amp and let's me play in my apartment without people calling the police.

I'm just mourning the loss of my nice Orange cab still
