I now have the Trinity to accompany my Alter Ego. I was planning on getting the HoF and the Flashback anyway, so the release of these just pushed me over the edge.
For the Alter Ego, there is nothing comparable to the Binson Echorec in the downloadable toneprints. It's quite a unique setting, and I think I'll be using it a lot. The DMM sounded good, but I don't think it's a setting I'll ever use.
For the Trinity, the two new presets are cool, but they're not vastly different than what is already available. The E1 preset is lovely, but it's fairly similar to the Church of Andy toneprint. It does have a longer decay and a bit more presence if you really need to wash your sound in it though. The E2 preset again is cool, but some of the modulated toneprints can get helicoptery. I would have been just as happy with a HoF, but it's nice to have both new ones and the toneprint slot available at the same time.
Where's the reverse reverb?!
