pete cornish.
so overpriced it's unbelievable and wait listed too. it'll take over 2 years to get a system made by him if you started today.
fuck yea it's super overpriced...beyond anything out there but they never break down. most of his customers are of the old school that aren't worried about money. ie: david gilmore, lou reed and just about all those old english rockers. it's the old guard's way of thinking and they usually don't stray from whats worked for them in the past.
as a touring guy, i understand that and i know if i'm in charge of a pete cornish rig, it's always going to work. that makes me happy in my job.
the bradshaws have given me headaches, those made from the all access switching have broken down on me, i've used countless others that always break down or are noisy as fuck. never a cornish and that's why he gets fat paid.
i'd never ever ever ever suggest to anyone to go the cornish route and even talked one person out of it. so don't think i'm flying his flag..i do not, i just understand the whys of the situation.
AND
you'd have to be a fool to buy a stompbox from him. a fucking fool.

i would love to pick and choose my work, charge 50 times more than anyone else and have them line up for it.
yea man, sign me the fuck up for that.

which leads to a question.

if people are willing to pay an exorbitant amount of money for your work....would you ask for less?

As a human being, I'd like to think I'd say "Yes". But as an overwhelmingly American person, my response is "Fuck no!"

Yeah if i can get it ill charge it but if i raise prices i raise quality in areas where it can be raised/is fiscally sound to do.

Because most dream theater fans dont understand what any of the shit in that pedal does and will buy it just because it says john pedouchey?

Woolly Mammoth. Sooooo not worth the cash, even used. You'd think a bass-specific fuzz with that price tag and that reputation wouldn't cut your low end...but mine sure did.

I've always thought those pedals looked really gross. Like, the blueberry always looked like it was just a big scab to me.

Doesn't stop me from wanting a Timeline, just from buying one, but I'm going through withdrawal here.

Timeline needs midi for expanded looper functions only but I see what your saying....

It's pricey but compared to the $300 El Cap, it's a step in the right direction. Oh, and it RULEZ!

Kinda off topic, but what looper functions need midi?

I use it for guitar primarily. :idk:

The times I have used it for bass, though, I find it can capture that "Exit Music" tone quite well. Perhaps I had a special one. :?:

I'll join in on the Cornish hate, I think those pedals are absolute hideous bullshit. I know it's bad, but I generally think less of the people that use them :idk:

I'm willing to bet most of the ILF builders' shit is just as durable :thumb:
