If only that were true

Well i picked up the bass in elementary school because it was big and i was an early compensator. I picked up guitar because after I went to the music store the guy there said "learn guitar, you'll learn a lot more from that." so i did, and i did.

Also because i seriously thought it would help me pick up chicks.

I was a dumbass kid.

yeah...when i play, it's one of the few spaces in life where things actually WORK, where everything i do can be effective and i can compensate for my mistakes. or better yet, not even care about them because i'm enjoying the moment.

I was about 6 and got the Kiss Alive I album from my very cool Uncle Johnny and that was about all it took!

Someone asked me to pick up a ____ and be in a band with 'em, so I figured I'd better start a-learnin'.

Which goes for just about every instrument I play.

Except mandolin. I learned mandolin accidentally.
