Another vote for the Algal Bloom here. I almost got rid of it after having it off my board for a couple months, played it again, and couldn't figure out why I took it off my board in the first place. Sounds great stacked with other things, too. I've been particularly enjoying Green Ringer -> choke switched Algal Bloom for gated-sounding nastiness and Fuck -> Algal Bloom as of late.

Supercool to see so much ILF love on ILF.
I joined ILF almost two years ago and have gone through a whole lot of ILF and/or boutique fuzzes. My favourite for sure is the Algal Bloom.
BUUUUTTT, and I feel kinda bad for it, but my favourite fuzz on my board is my original '78 IC Big Muff V5. Out of all the fuzzes that I've tried, seen, or listened to demos of, nothing comes close to the IC Muff. It's got that perfect Muff thickness with that elusive buzzzzzzzzz over the top of it. Loooooooooooove it.
Tied for first is my trusty '85 small box RAT. Truly a perfect dirtbox.

Right now it's TGD, hand down.

Rad, eh? But I can get the huge balls of straight-ish fuzzstortion out of it, too, by asimple turn of a knob and a pup switch /tone knob.

It doesnt have the tonal variety of the pharaoh or the wicked clean boost and depth switch of the black forest. I guess it's more of what you consider a one trick pony but what it does it does very well IMO. If your looking for straight up nailed to the wall fuzz with balls o' doom its my fav.

Mine doesn't do a weird tremolo thing in a feedback loop

. What else have you got in there?
TAFM is my favourite fuzz currently (also have an arc flash on the board) for the versatility and just how great it sounds. I also have a 4ms Atoner that's not working right now, I only got to use it for a day, and it was great and insane, so maybe I'd prefer that if I had more time to screw around with it.
Impossible question

Well I just tried it right now and couldn't get the tremolo thing. Maybe when it did that it was by itself. It was also being used with a Chk Chk Boom before the loop mute/joy button was added; now it's with an Utter Stutter so maybe the slightly different operation of the US changes things. Dunno. Right now I have it going into a Wolf Computer for the NES droans.
Although with the US I can make it tremolo anyway. Trololoooo
It's still not quite the same. It was like a stuttery random tremolo. Totally useless for bass I think.

Wolf Computer!
Or Algal Bloom.
Also, I love the Torns Peaker, but don't currently own one.
Am I doing this wrong?

As soon as I read utter stutter I figured this was what was happening.

Got to give you more credit than that. And yeah, it's probably impossible to figure out what makes it do that, I've found things are really unpredictable with my CCB, but it's cool, I still love what it does.

The best for me have been the Devi Ever AE / TP never quite got it out of my head and I would love to have one again.
Right now I have a Green Muff with a mids switch that I am kind of enamored with now.
That is subject to change at anytime.

Since I just sold my AB-Synth to my guitarist I only have a Torns Peaker. I think the reason it works well for me is I tend to use vol/tone on my guiter a lot anyway. Like 70% of its cool sounds come from doing that. Has a bit of a low threshold on how much preamp distortion it can handle before going all dull and shit though.
