i love my midiverb 4, i do notice a small tone suck but its bearable. for the priced used its awesome, esp for the amount of different reverbs, delays and other time based effects. i have to keep it last in my chain and no dirt from my amp or else it gets noisy as fuck.
my current set up is guitar > crush fuzz > rc-20XL > midiverb 4 > tiny terror
minimal and effective
I have a Midiverb 4 I've had shelved for a bit as I'm unsure how to use it-- I mainly bought it for some reverse reverb, but from what I can tell the Inverse setting decays WAY too quickly to get huge MBV sounds. Do you use it for such purposes at all? Can you enlighten me? I messed with the settings a bunch but was way disappointed-- I know the unit can do Slowdive sounds for days but that's not what I wanna do with it at this point.

Guitar > Rocktron Chorus > Boss DD-6 > Holy Grail > Morely Volume > Amp
I'd say it's fairly minimal, but effective for all the tones/effects I want.

i did try out the reverse for a minute or two but thats about it, tomorrow ill play with it some more and give u a better answer, ive really only used the spring, pan, and various size rooms. havent gotten into all the crazy presets this thing has. tomorrow i think i will. ive also changed my current shoegaze set up, now it goes, guitar with p90s > sparkle motion> sonic titan clone(just got it from stanimal

) >crush fuzz > midiverb > tiny terror took away the rc-20xl and added the sparkle motion and sonic titan. really loving this set up right now. i just need a delay...ugh more GAS

Yesterday I had nice results by going
TAFM > Sea Machine > Digidelay in CCB-Loop.
If my guitar had a whammy bar I could probably have disengaged the Sea Machine as well.

If you want modulation and full wet, go elsewhere. Otherwise I think it's pretty sweet. Room, Hall, Church, and Tile all sound great, Spring isn't bad, and the Dark Hall toneprint is reeeeeaally sweet. The only other reverb I've owned was a Cathedral, & even though it had some cool stuff going on (flerb, reverse, infinite, etc.), I prefer the Hall of Fame.

Got some lovely results today using Jazzmaster > Mellowtone Singing Tree Lite > SMMH. The reverse delay on the Memory Man can create a lovely washy shoegazey toanz. For the newer stuff I've been playing it's become my 'always on' pedal.
