so...TC Flashback owners, has the honeymoon period ended? I'm thinking of adding a flashback to go along with my El Cap. Hmm...

i'm still happy with my Flashback. i've been using the looper a lot recently because it has a longer loop time than the Head Rush, and it works well and edits the initial loop cleanly and accurately. i sure do wish it had an UNDO function, but i take that as a challenge...Fripp didn't have UNDO on his tape loops. everything else i've said still stands. for the price, you can't beat it with a crowbar.

The Flashback is on my list of try now for sure. Hopefully I'll pick one up within a few weeks.

culturejam wrote:The Flashback is definitely not a straight replacement for the Timebender. It sounds good, for sure, and has a lot of features, but it's just not nearly as full-fledged as the Timebender.

On a side note, I really wish TC would release their damn Tone Print software so users could create their own custom delay modes.

Whats the sound quality like compared between the two? I want to try a timebender as well, but given I can't try one in a store I don't want to take a risk at losing some money (shipping etc). People on ILF seem to love it though. I'm interested in the bender because I really like the pattern feature (which is what makes me gas for the timeline :( ).

Sound quality on the Timbender is excellent, as is the Flasback. No hiss, noise, tone suck, etc.

I hear the tape mode on the timebender is actually pretty good. How is the digital/normal delay compared to the 2209 setting on the flashback? Also the reverse?

Seriously, these are the last questions I have for comparison . I really want to try both, but I just need a good versatile digital delay with a basic looper for live purposes and the timebender seems more appropriate for that (given that its got presets).

Honestly, the space of time between when I had the Timebender is too great for me to compare the modes.

Or rather, there was a long DELAY between owning the two.

My bad, I was under the impression you still had the timebender!

I have a time bender and all the modes are great.
I really like the Analog and use the digital quite often.
Right now I have it set up in reverse which sounds huge and is rediculously sweet.

Also The strum tempo feature makes me very happy
