Hell yes. I love the sound of a Gu Qin. Impossible to get a hold of over here apparently though. If you want to get an instrument, not a decorative piece of plasticine with rubber bands.

The Collected Works of Aleister Crowley, bound in vellum and printed on India paper, limited to 1,000 copies. 1st thus, 1905. This copy is well-known in Crowley circles and is SIGNED TWICE BY CROWLEY AND, ADDITONALLY, INCLUDES NOTATIONS IN HIS HAND IN THE MARGINS OF THE BIBLIOGRAPHY (pgs. 233-239). The first Crowley signature appears on the front free endpaper and--in his hand-- reads "Aleister Crowley library copy". Below that is the name "Helen Woljeska", a late 19th century female American painter of some renown. The 2nd Crowley signature--in light pencil-- appears under the photographic frontispiece of Vol. 3 ("The Collected Works." consists of 3 collected volumes of his writing bound in 1 volume and each collected volume has a frontispiece portrait of Crowley). This fragile book has suffered some wear but overall has held up nicely. Still firm and tightly-bound and, internally, very clean, with no writing or markings (save for Crowley's) of any kind. Both the front and back vellum panels have pronounced creasing, rendering this copy a G+/ VG-, and, although unverified, legend has it that it's actually Crowley's handprint--in a red dye or other form of simulated blood-- that adorns the cover of this copy. It's certainly possible that this is the case but the provenance of this copy is not airtight enough to be able to establish this claim as fact. We do know, beyond dispute, that the 2 Crowley signatures are genuine and we do feel very confident that the handwriting in the bibliography's margins (money notations next to certain titles) is Crowley's but the red staining to the cover, which we feel is very possibly Crowley's handprint, is unable to be nailed down as such. Nonetheless, this is a very unusual--even a remarkable--Crowley item. 12mo, 246 pgs. Bookseller Inventory # 2610
