Can't wait to miss out on one of these. Trying to get your hands on a Sonic Crayon is like trying to catch Mewtwo.

I think it's the thick epoxy... it won't dissolve the print like a solvent-heavy spray will. It's also possibly over laser print.

B&W laser print over lazertran decal paper

http://www.lazertran.com/

also I don't bother to give the graphic greyscales or color. everything is either pure black or pure white (transparent). any variation I want I do with the acrylic paint under the decal

then I ooze a coat (sometimes two) of clear epoxy resin on it with a plastic spoon.
I've tried different brands. this is my favorite. though it might be canada-only

the others were too runny. this one is thicker so it doesn't ooze off the sides faster than it stiffens. if one uses the runny ones, you need two or three coats.

the longer I spend on a project and the closer I get to finishing it, the more positive I am that all the caps/chips are gonna explode when I plug it in, or that it simply won't work for a forever-unexplainable reason. :barf:

so yeah, I'm about ready to give up on this.

I've spent easily over 20 hours of debugging this since finishing assembly and I cannot for the life of me figure out why it refuses to do anything. pop the same chips onto the breadboard prototype instead and all's well.

fuck this. must be swamp gas or something.

it's just the fed-up-ness of random incomprehensable bullshit that's getting to me. in a month or so I'll pick it up and figure out what I did wrong.

Quite understandable, I get extremely frustrated by fairly simple circuits, I cannot imagine what it would be like to take on the stuff that you build.
